REVIEW - `LUCKY STAR’ MOVIE IS A CLEAN ENTERTAINER

There is no magic formula to become a billionaire all on a sudden. In this Malayalam movie `LUCKY STAR’, debutant director Deepu Anthikad tries to explore the efforts of a couple- Ranjith(Jayaram) and Janaki(Rachana)-  to become wealthy overnight.

Many say love is the most beautiful feeling on earth  but  this money driven couple  believe, apart from love,  if life is filled with  lot of money  they can lead a luxurious life. Hence they find it difficult to develop their life in the real world. They start dreaming in their imaginary world with their big plans but nothing works in the practical life. In order to save them from this `miserable’ life comes Dr.Jo  chitilappally (Mukesh), with a proposal to become a surrogate mother for an Indo- U.S.Couple  for a hefty amount.  From here unexpected twists and turns take the story forward.

The spirit and zeal of an experienced director is shown by Deepu Anthikad in his first directorial attempt. It will be a challenge for him to retain this achievement in future also. The story of the movie is dramatic and humourous.

Jayaram delivers an undoubtedly touching performance as usual. Rachana stuns with her natural acting.  Mukesh is the perfect cast for his role.

The movie is meant for the family audience.
